Jushi Obtains the First Carbon Management Certificate in the Industry
On June 5, 2024, the first "Carbon Management System Certificate" in the glass fiber industry was awarded by SAQM, a Shanghai-based QM institute, to Jushi.
The carbon management system covers four aspects including carbon emissions, carbon assets, carbon trading, and carbon neutrality. It integrates the management of all carbon-related activities of a company under a unified framework to achieve carbon management goals.
In November last year, Jushi set up a working team for carbon management to start implementing the carbon management system. Under this system, the company practices a green management model featuring "one platform, multiple grids" and adopts the PDCA (plan-do-check-act) standard for carbon emissions management, monitoring, and control; carbon assets management and operation; carbon trading management and strategy formulation; and for the implementation of carbon neutrality plans. We also standardize internal carbon assets management and cultivate carbon management talents, so as to support low-carbon production and operation, and ensure effective management and control of carbon emissions.
The obtaining of this certificate is conducive to the company's further efforts to reduce carbon emissions costs, enhance market competitiveness, and better prevent environmental risks. In following this carbon management system, Jushi has established a green and low-carbon strategy and a "dual carbon" (carbon peaking and carbon neutrality) action plan, formulated the Jushi Carbon Management System Management Guide, and worked out a full set of carbon management procedure documents. Thanks to these efforts, our performance in green and low-carbon management is greatly improved, thus setting a benchmark in the industry.
