Indonesia’s President Joko Widodo Meets with President Zhang Yuqiang of China Jushi
On July 28, 2023, Indonesia’s President Joko Widodo, during his stay in Chengdu, China to attend the opening ceremony of the 2023 World University Games, met with Zhang Yuqiang, President of China Jushi, as well as other representatives of Chinese entrepreneurs. Indonesia’s coordinating minister for Maritime and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan was present at the meeting.
President Joko Widodo listened to the investment and construction progress of Chinese enterprises in Indonesia and welcomed and thanked Chinese enterprises for expanding investment in Indonesia. He also hoped that more Chinese companies would come to invest in Indonesia.
Within just eight months, President Joko Widodo had two meetings with President Zhang Yuqiang, at the 2022 G20 Bali summit and the World University Games 2023, respectively. This fully demonstrates the commitment of Indonesian government and Chinese enterprises to stronger cooperation. It also shows the ambition of Chinese firms to go global and reflects the vigor and charm of Chinese entrepreneurs.
Under President Zhang’s instruction of "going out bravely, operating locally, and coming back successfully", Jushi has built factories in Egypt and the United States, which in turn testifies to the success of Jushi's globalization.
Going forward, Jushi will further play the role as a global leader in fiberglass, leverage its strength in technology, equipment and intelligent manufacturing, and explore a carbon-neutral development path by building a carbon-neutral intelligent glass fiber manufacturing base. We will make more efforts in following the "Belt and Road" initiative and accelerate global expansion. We will strengthen our globalized manufacturing and marketing so as to better serve our customers and markets, and to promote the resilience and stability of the industrial and supply chains of the world composites industry.
